Dr Alex chats to Paul about the Councils use of harmful chemicals

FAB FM'S Medicine Lady Dr. Alex Bernhardi tells Paul that she believes is the Douglas Shire Council's Council's attitude to their chemical use in not a good one. The Doc says it's not only harming the environment and human health but it also has a damaging impact on tourism and the local economy. It all came to a head when a DSC worker swore at a tourist while spraying pesticide believed to be Glyphosate. Glyphosate is used in 'Roundup' and is banned in many Countries. Dr Bernhardi lodged an RTI request at the DSC back in June this year for them to disclose qualities, quantities and location of DSC's pesticide use AND their response was jaw dropping.
