Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas allows visitors to interact with Australian animals in a spacious, natural environment BUT now they have a new 'Tree House' attraction that allows you get high up and get a 'Birds Eye' view of the creatures. Today it was officially opened by Federal MP Warren Entsch and Pip Woodward. Pip and late husband Charlie began their family business in 1976 when they opened Rainforestation Nature Park in Kuranda but then turned their efforts to the Douglas Shire acquiring the Rainforest Habitat as part of the CaPTA Group. Today it's called Wildlife Habitat and it's evolving all the time. The latest attraction will be very popular with kids and adults alike. FAB FM's Paul Makin was at the opening to capture the sights and sounds and spoke with the 'Father' of Douglas Tourism John Morris, Mayor Michael Kerr and Pip Woodward.
