It all happened on the corner of Mitre & Nautilus Streets at Craiglie this afternoon. A local lady lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a pole bringing it and live wires down onto the road. Her hubby told FAB FM's Paul Makin that she hit the accelerator not the brake straight after she did something we've all done. SNEEZE!

Deputy Mayor Councillor Lisa Scomazzon has demanded an investigation into the Daintree Ferry contract negotiations. Council were left with no choice but to pay Sirron Enterprises $4.5 million dollars of ratepayers money to secure the service from July 1st. Johnny Ashcroft Tribute - The Legendary Aussie Singer And His Legendary Aussie Song Of 1960 Based On A Real Life Story

Trailblazer Aussie country singer Johnny Ashcroft passed away on the 19th of May aged 94, but he leaves behind a body of work that reflects Australian life in the 40's 50's 60's and 70's, including a song that became part of the national psyche. 51 years ago a little boy was lost in the New England Ranges of NSW and a nation was on tender hooks waiting to see if he would be found. Johnny Ashcroft's song about Steven Walls became the biggest hit of 1960.
