It all happened on the corner of Mitre & Nautilus Streets at Craiglie this afternoon. A local lady lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a pole bringing it and live wires down onto the road. Her hubby told FAB FM's Paul Makin that she hit the accelerator not the brake straight after she did something we've all done. SNEEZE!

Trailblazer Aussie country singer Johnny Ashcroft passed away on the 19th of May aged 94, but he leaves behind a body of work that reflects Australian life in the 40's 50's 60's and 70's, including a song that became part of the national psyche. 51 years ago a little boy was lost in the New England Ranges of NSW and a nation was on tender hooks waiting to see if he would be found. Johnny Ashcroft's song about Steven Walls became the biggest hit of 1960. FAB FM's Paul Makin looks back at Johnny's life and honours the man who recorded THAT song and so many more. https://www.johnnyashcroft.com.au/

'Exorbitant', 'Inflated Price', just some of the descriptions given by Douglas Shire Councillors today about the price paid by Council for the Daintree Ferry. But did they really have a choice in voting for the purchase? With no ferry from the 1st of July hanging over their heads they were a 'Hiding To Nothing'. Now the Ratepayers of the Shire will foot the bill. FAB FM's Paul Makin was at the crucial meeting and speaks with 3 key players. https://douglas.qld.gov.au/council-to-purchase-daintree-ferry/

Chatting with FAB FM's Paul Makin, Member For Leichhardt Warren Entsch says power and reliable internet WILL come to the Daintree thanks to a 19.3 million dollar allocation in yesterdays Federal Budget. Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has backed Mr Entsch in his fight to bring power to the people who live and work in the tropical rainforest. Dedicated residents have fought alongside the MP for 25 years to make this happen. Any real 'Greenie' would be over the moon to see this 'Clean & Green' measure but not a small bunch of local naysayers who spread misinformation about it's affect on the rainforest. Standby for more BS from them. https://www.warrenentsch.com.au/
