Douglas Shire Councillor Roy Zammataro has been told by Council to apologise to FAB FM's Paul Makin following an incident in the Daintree. It happened after a 'Power Grid' meeting as Paul approached Mr Zammataro for a comment. The decision was made in a closed meeting today. Mayor Michael Kerr on that and other agenda items today at Council's second last meeting for the year. https://douglas.qld.gov.au/

FAB FM's Paul Makin attended the public consultation meeting at Diwan in the Daintree, where Council staff provided information on the choice of TWO FERRIES or A BRIDGE over the river. He spoke with some locals after the meeting and discovered some very interesting points of view re the two options put up. Both proposals throw up their own particular issues. One thing is for sure, locals want ACTION and NOW!.
