A Ferry or a Bridge? that is the question Ratepayers will be asked in a Round 2 document to be prepared by Council. But it's really Round 1 says Mayor Michael Kerr because the previous Council didn't reach out to the people who really matter. YOU!  And all the Councillors agreed that the consultation period should be doubled from 3 to 6 weeks giving everyone a chance to submit their thoughts to Council. Later this week, Douglas Shire Council will release the Daintree River Crossing Options Report which contains more information about a bridge, potential sites, expected costs and the forecast costs for the proposed two-ferry service.
