A Ferry or a Bridge? that is the question Ratepayers will be asked in a Round 2 document to be prepared by Council. But it's really Round 1 says Mayor Michael Kerr because the previous Council didn't reach out to the people who really matter. YOU! And all the Councillors agreed that the consultation period should be doubled from 3 to 6 weeks giving everyone a chance to submit their thoughts to Council. Later this week, Douglas Shire Council will release the Daintree River Crossing Options Report which contains more information about a bridge, potential sites, expected costs and the forecast costs for the proposed two-ferry service. CCTV to protect the Port Douglas Crocs, Support for a 2022 event at the Sugar Wharf and 40 Days In 40 Ways acknowledged by Councillors PLUS more.
