The new Council put it up for sale and now they have a buyer. That controversial block of land in the Daintree is about to go off the Council books. A win win for all ratepayers says the Mayor Michael Kerr as he chats with FAB FM's Paul Makin. It will be discussed at a special meeting of the DSC this Monday 10th August. Also on the agenda, a vote on the Daintree water bottling plant getting the green light, a matter deferred at the last meeting. Councilors wanted to know how the Company would be treating bore water at the factory prior to bottling and what sort of packaging would to be used. Both concerns on environmental grounds. The answers to those questions will be given on Monday with another vote taken AND a brand new fire engine wants to take cover.
