John Carney from the Mossman Golf Club talks to Paul about his Clubs displeasure at being blamed for the delay in the deck extension at the Douglas Community & Sports Club Inc., or The Tin Shed, The Golf Clubs so called financial woes were outlined in the Tin Shed's Presidents report in which Tony Dickinson said Mossman Golf Club was losing at least $80,000 a year and turnover from the golf club’s bar has dropped by 13.5 per cent. John Carney says the Golf Club and The Douglas Community & Sports Club Inc are one and the same. While he disagrees with the Presidents wording he and others at the Club Golf will meet with Kym Rowley and Tony Dickinson to talk things over in a professional manner.

Level 2 water restrictions means new usage times for garden irrigation systems and sprinklers while continuing the ‘no-irrigation-Monday’ rule of thumb. Changes to measures around external household cleaning, operation of water features and the cleaning of vehicles, boats, jet skis and trailers are all part of a stronger push to conserve water. Mike Brady is now officially the Number 1 Ticket Holder for the Port Douglas Crocs AFL team.
Barry Lea the President of the club asked the iconic singer and writer of 'Up There Cazaly' to join the fold for 2020. Mike was thrilled to say yes. He's now looking forward to getting back to FNQ in his new role. His latest song, a cover is the old Eric Burdon song 'When I Was Young. What a pleasure it was to catch up with living legend Mike Brady while he is holidaying in FNQ. Unless you've been on the Moon you would have heard Mike's classic song 'Up There Cazaly' some time in September during it's 40 years of existence. Mike is kept busy singing the iconic song every year during AFL Grand Final time. No wonder he needed some R&R in the sun with his great mate Keith (far right)
