Interview with Kym Rowley, manager of regarding The Combined Club losing its battle with the Douglas Shire Council in having their Lease reviewed. Council deems the Club a Commercial business and not a Not for Profit Sports Club such as the Surf and Yacht Clubs. This has allowed them to increase the Club’s Rent by approx. 100%. The Club intends to continue to fight to gain Freehold of the land or having the Lease Reviewed at a State level.
